The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) developed the Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education (VALUE) rubrics to aid in assessment and accreditation. There are rubrics for sixteen different Student Outcomes:

The IES maintains the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC), a source of scientific evidence on education programs, products, practices, and policies. Some examples of use include a collection of articles supporting the success of first year seminar courses, webinars on effective experimental designs for assessing programs, and extracted data from education studies to allow replication, meta-analysis, and new research questions.
HULA is a research team at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. They examine the learning theories implicit in the humanities, with the goal of making those practices explicit. They have a series of toolkits for assessing humanistic instruction at all levels of life, as well as many books, articles, and videos.
Housed at Wabash College, the Center for Inquiry works with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop faculty skills and improve student learning.
As part of their mission to support and promote collaborative research between undergraduate students and their professors, CUR includes assessment strategies and ideas, and an assessment toolkit. The toolkit includes a critical-thinking assessment test, surveys to give to both students and mentors, and databases of national results to help establish benchmarks.
