Identifying a conspiracy theory

If you have yet to identify a conspiracy theory, Wikipedia offers a large and robust list of potential options. Remember -- Wikipedia is a great place to start but it subject to editing by random individuals and is not scholarly or primary in nature.

When searching - try searching:

  • [Your topic] AND archive
  • [A prominent person associated with your topic AND archive
  • [Your topic] AND digital exhibit
  • [Your topic] AND evidence
  • [Your topic] AND hoax
  • [Your topic] AND proof

Other terms you could consider in your search string: discovery, opposition, agency, risk, harm, cognitive dissonance, cognitive closure, social threats or intergroup (threat or harm or risk).
