Earth Day 2022: Earth Week 2022 Speaker: Ian Daniel, Class of 2004

Ian Daniel

Ian Daniel ‘04 will visit campus in April as DePauw’s Earth Week speaker.  Daniel is a filmmaker, writer, curator, and Emmy-nominated producer who co-directed (with Elliot Page) and produced “There’s Something in the Water," a documentary film that explores the topic of environmental racism and shines a light on the Canadian government’s current and historical decisions to prioritize the profits of large corporations over the health of indigenous and Black Nova Scotian communities.  The film is currently available on NETFLIX.

The documentary was based on the book There’s Something in the Water by Ingrid R.G. Waldron.
