Finding Sources in the Library Discovery Search:  On the Libraries home page, try searching these phrases to discover general books for background information:

  • the name of your disease
  • try keywords like:  genetic disease; genetic disorder; genome
  • results will offer print books (limit to Prevo Science Library) as well as e-books and article citations
  • look for medical textbooks: In Prevo Reference:  Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine:  Prevo Science Library Reference RC46 .H333 2015
