If you are an Indiana resident, register (in person or by mail) for the November election by October 6th.

If you are legally a resident of another state, register & vote by absentee ballot, using this website, form, & list of addresses/deadlines.

The closest location to register as a Greencastle resident is the County Courthouse, in the center of the square downtown, on the 2nd floor, in the Clerk's Office - Circuit & Superior Court, room 21 - 23. They're open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Telephone: 765 - 655 - 1538.

You can also register at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles - the Greencastle branch's hours & location are here (closed Saturday afternoon, Sunday, Monday).

You must be a U.S. citizen. Bring ID with your address on it (driver's license, bank statement, bill, etc., but not your DePauw ID). To fill out the form in advance, or fill it out & mail it, get it here.

IMPORTANT: according to the Secretary of State's website, Indiana law does not consider you to be eligible to vote in Greencastle unless you intend to live in here after graduation. If you are not already an Indiana resident, he says that you are expected to get an Indiana driver's license and registration for your car (if you have one). The Indiana Democratic Party disagrees, saying that this is the Republican SoS's way of discouraging college students from voting in Indiana. The Marin County (Indianapolis) Election Board simply says that college students can choose to vote, & the U.S. House Committee on Administration has just held hearings on policiess, press releases, & other actions that have been used to decrease student voting in specific states & districts.
