Cheshire Calhoun

Professor Calhoun, a professor of Philosophy at Arizona State University, is the author of Feminism, the Family, and the Politics of the Closet: Lesbian and Gay Displacement (Oxford University Press), as well as the editor of Setting the Moral Compass: Essay by Women Philosophers.  She has published many acclaimed essays on such topics as forgiveness, integrity, decency, civility, commitment, boredom, and more. Her current project is a book-in-progress on "meaningful living."

Professor Calhoun will be speaking on Thurs., Mar. 8th at 4:15 in Watson Forum.  Her talk is entitled "Who's Afraid of Polygamous Marriage".
