The Science Research Fellows program welcomes Dr. Allen back to campus on Friday June 10, 2016 where he and his brother, Dr. David Allen, will be sharing memories, stories and photos of Joe's career.  Lunch will be served in Julian 147 to those who RSVP to scifellows@epauw.edu by Wed. June 8. This event is free and open to everyone.

“Reflections from the Edge of Earth," featured former U.S. astronaut Joseph P. Allen IV ’59. This dialogue on May 10, 2012 at 8 p.m. in Meharry Hall was moderated by Howard L. Brooks, Paul B. Kissinger Professor of Physics and Astronomy and chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department.  This talk was part of the 175th Anniversary Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series: A Yearlong DePauw Discourse.

In June of 2011, Dr. and Mrs. Allen donated items flown aboard the space shuttle Discovery in November 1984. (STS-51A, flight No. 14 for the shuttle program, flight #2 for Discovery.)  These items were presented to DePauw by the Allens on the occasion of Bonnie’s 50 yr class reunion.  Read more here.
