About the project

The Violence Intervention/Prevention Project is the result of a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to reduce sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking on college campuses.

Bystander Intervention

"Bystander Intervention: A Conversation with Lea Hegge” will be held Aug 29th at 7:00 pm in the GCPA Kresge Auditorium. This convocation is free & open to the public.  

Lea is the senior trainer for Green Dot, Etc. and a research associate at Strategic Prevention Solutions.  Her talk will focus on how everyday people can safely and effectively prevent sexual violence through a strategy called "Green Dot."  Lea’s presentation will be immediately preceded by an excerpt of the film "Where We Stand" by Kaitlin Klose ’13 about sexual violence at DePauw.
